Making a shopping list!

As parents to two preschoolers, we are often caught between our professionalism as teachers and our private lives as parents. It's hard to educate one's children at times, because we just want to get away from work and be focused on our roles as parents.

As a result, the best learning we do with our children tend to be incidental. Our four-and-a-half-year-old made this shopping list with a bit of guidance (and the chance to erase what she wrote). I segmented the words for her and as I spoke, she tried to write them down. I just encouraged her and hinted to her which letters she might want to check again.

As dad and mum we look forward to seeing our kids' progress! :)
