Need someone to mark your writing?

Some students and parents have returned to use Get It Right's marking service multiple times this year. As an educator, I am more than glad to see the growth of the students through their writing. Students have come to us with a range of needs, from those who are learning the basics to those seeking more challenges in writing. Although I've never met most of these young writers, their written pieces convey their wit and determination.

As educators, sometimes we have to teach on the spot, without prior preparation. The student might come to class with a question, or we spot a learning point that has to be addressed before moving on to the next task.

So here I was teaching comparative and superlative adjectives. For an authentic language use experience, the student used her friends' names. Nothing fancy here - we used note paper and a pen. The student chuckled at the comparisons while figuring out that longer adjectives with multiple syllables required 'more' and 'most' instead of the suffixes -er and -est.
