Every child has the right to learn

In the Clementi classroom, Mr Lim and Ms Tan have had the opportunity to meet more students and parents. This has presented us with new challenges.
A Primary 4 special needs student has been having lessons at our classroom. In a lesson theme about food, the student enjoyed a memory card game using vocabulary from the reading passage. Then we moved on to using the vocabulary cards to practise pronunciation and spelling. The student watched a short video related to food and he engaged in a simple discussion with the teacher. In the weeks after, the student showed that he had an impression of the words and meanings.
The student's progress in the recent weeks has been encouraging. For us as teachers, it has also been a humbling experience as we try our best to understand each student's unique learning needs.
