Sometimes Teacher Augustine and Teacher Libing meet students who show depth and maturity of thought, beyond their physical age. They are able to engage in discussions that surprise us as teachers.

This year, among our PSLE students, we have been challenged to keep this male student engaged with more general knowledge and higher order thinking questions. Today, he discussed the topic of health during oral communication practice, and initiated a debate about how the government should ban cigarettes. Teacher Libing kind of forgot about the time as we sorted out the factors for and against a ban, but it was too enjoyable to stop discussing prematurely.

This is an important reason we love coaching students one on one - every student deserves dedicated attention to his or her needs.
